This site by Glenn Jewison and Joerg C. Steiner is very important to me as G. v. Etzel considered his Austrian allies an important part to the success they had on the Eastern Front. Also, Glenn has been a huge contributor to this site in information without which I would have only pretty photos and little history.
Best Book on the PlM at this Time!

Last photograph of Lt. Gen. v. Etzel wearing his uniform.
Taken on the day he met with Field Marshal von Blomberg about 1935.

Wohlauf, Kameraden, aufs Pferd, aufs Pferd
Ins Feld, in die Freiheit
gezogen!
Im Felde, da ist der Mann noch was wert
Da wird das Herz noch gewogen

Auf sich selber steht er da ganz allein :|
